Languages Other than English :  These studies include the more common languages, such as Spanish, German, and French, but also include a large number of other languages, such as various languages spoken in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.    Some of the courses in languages are very  short introductory and traveler-assistance types and carry small amounts of academic credit in line with their size and scope.

Social Studies: There are a number of social studies courses offered, including civics and government, geography, economics, world history, American history, and anthropology.

Business :  Among the business course presentations are elementary accounting, bookkeeping, business mathematics, and business organization.  A combined subject “master course” in business has been prepared by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Art and Music : There are courses in art and music appreciation, and the student is aided in understanding these materials by being linked to a number of world renowned museums.

Technology and Computer Usage :  Elementary programming, Internet theory, script language usage and similar course materials can open the door to a greater understanding of that ubiquitous home and office tool we call “the computer.”  Similarly, courses in other technologies emphasize the use of computers to enhance or even to enable those technologies.  Examples of that type of interplay can be seen in meteorology, astronomy, medicine, publishing, and other forms of communication.

Health and Physical Education :  Covered are such things as nutrition, exercise, weight control, and smoking cessation or abstinence.

Convocation :   Each week enrolled students can communicate verbally with school officials and special guest speakers via the facilities of “Paltalk” on the Internet. Attendance is limited to 200 students at a time.

GED, Vocational, and Commercial : Links are provided leading to sites offering this type of instruction.  For GED (General Educational Development) we highly recommend your use of the Free-Ed Net program. It is a grant funded program and, thus, it is free to you.  However, you must formally enroll to participate in it.
